Mir wurde immer öfters die Frage gestellt, ob man das CustomerPortal des vtiger’s um einige Funktionen erweitern kann.
Speziell die Frage nach der Möglichkeit einzelne Felder zu bearbeiten kam dabei sehr häufig vor. Wenn machbar aber (natürlich) nicht alle, da ansonsten wichtige Informationen aus dem CRM gelöscht werden könnten.
Das bestehende Customerportal ist leider recht unflexibel in der Handhabung und relativ schlecht dafür geeignet jedem Kunden vorgesetzt zu werden, da auch gewisse technische Grundkenntnisse vorhanden sein müssen.
Also habe ich einen Plan gemacht 😉 und mich hingesetzt um dies umzusetzen. Recht schnell war auch klar, dass es am Ende komplett als OpenSource veröffentlicht werden wird um später evtl. offiziell von den vtiger Entwicklern aufgenommen werden zu können.
Um maximal flexibel zu bleiben, ist das komplette System aus drei Schichten aufgebaut.
- Die Customerportal Bibliothek
- Sie baut die Verbindung zum vtigerCRM auf und erlaubt eine flexible Erweiterung, ohne die genaue Funktionsweise zu kennen
- die Kommunikation läuft komplett über einen SOAP Server, welchen die vtigerCRM Erweiterung mitbringt, da der vtiger eigene Webservice eine zu schlechte Performance bot
- bietet Funktionen um jeden Record aus dem vtigerCRM auszulesen und verbundene Einträge herausfinden zu können
- eigene Entity-Module können sehr einfach integriert werden, solange sie sich an die vtigerCRM Konventionen hält, da komplett Modul-basiert
- Plugins sind geplant und momentan auch bereits teilweise integriert (Plugins damit komplett übertragbar zwischen verschiedenen Frontends)
- Frontend
- momentan standalone PHP Frontend & WordPress Plugin erstellt
- durch darunterliegende Logik, kann recht unkompliziert ein Plugin für jedes CMS gebaut werden
- standalone Frontend bietet einfaches Template-System
- komplett sprachbasiert
- Plugins können über WordPress ähnliches System integriert werden, welches unabhängig von den Plugins der darunterliegenden Bibliothek ist
- vtigerCRM Modul
- bringt eigenen SOAP-Server für die Kommunikation mit
- erlaubt die feldweise Konfiguration des Customerportals (Anzeigen/Bearbeiten/GruppierenSortieren) per Maus
- natürlich mit integrierter Auto-Update Routine
- alle Abfragen an den vtiger werden mit eigenen Modulen durchgeführt, damit eigene Erweiterungen eingefügt werden können, ohne ein Update zu verhindern

Die Installation ist sehr einfach:
– Customerportal hochladen

– jeweils config.inc.php prüfen
Alle Arbeiten am vtigerCRM sind aktuell leider nur ein Hobby und müssen deshalb in der wenigen freien Zeit durchgeführt werden, welche mir zur Verfügung steht.
